A dry socket or a hot pocket??

So...a week ago I had my bottom left wisdom tooth pulled, and like my mom says...nothing is ever easy with me!! Of course I get to be one of the lucky few (5%) who develop a condition called a dry socket (or a hot pocket...lol mom). What on earth is it?? It is...
"A painful condition following a tooth extraction caused by a blood clot that does not properly fill the empty socket, leaving the bone and nerves underneath exposed to air and food...causing severe pain, and delaying the healing process."
