I'm aware that this post isn't exactly going to shock any of you...it is basically common knowledge that you can freeze leftover cookie dough. This is one of those things that I googled before trying, and became overwhelmed by the mixed results (seems to happen often). Sooooo....I'm going to share the method I ended up going with. I guess it would be difficult to mess this up, but this is how I did it...and I can tell you it worked out perfectly!
- Put the cookie dough onto a large sheet of wax paper, roll it up into a log and then place into a freezer bag (I suggest labeling it so you don't accidentally confuse it for ground turkey meat....not at all speaking from experience)
- When you are ready to use the dough, let it sit out for about 10 minutes before slicing it up and putting on baking sheet
- Cook for about two minutes longer than the original recipe called for...enjoy your cookies, AND your nice clean kitchen that you didn't have to mess up as much as when you made the dough in the first place...you're welcome! :)
i love saving cookie dough, youre right it sure makes for easy clean-up :)
