Who loves turkey burgers?!? MEEEEE! I have made these burgers a few times, but this was the first time I tried them with Cilantro Lime Mayo! Let's just say, THIS is how I will be making them from now on! I didn't go too crazy with all the topping because I used slider buns, and I didn't want to over-do it...but typically I take on the "more the merrier" mentality! Load 'em up and enjoy!!!

Ingredients:
Turkey Burgers
1 lb. of Turkey Meat
1/4 red bell pepper (seeds & ribs removed)
1 jalapeno (seed & ribs removed)
1/2 small yellow onion
1 clove of garlic
1 clove of garlic
1- 1 1/2 cups of bread crumbs
1 egg white
1 tsp. of cumin
Salt & Pepper (to taste)
Wheat buns
***Optional toppings - cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado
Cilantro Lime Mayo
1/2 cup of light mayo
1 tbsp. of lime juice
1 large handful of fresh cilantro (rinsed)
Directions:
1. Pulse red bell pepper, jalapeno, onion, and garlic in a food processor.
2. In a large bowl, mix turkey meat, bread crumbs (start out with just 1 cup), egg white, and pepper/onion mixture from the food processor. Add seasoning (cumin, salt, and pepper). Mix thoroughly - add the rest of the bread crumbs if mixture seems too wet.
3. Shape into patties (I made mine smaller because I used slider buns).
4. Heat a grill pan over medium high heat, cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked throughout.
5. Prepare cilantro lime mayo by putting 3 ingredients into a food processor and pulsing until the cilantro is chopped finely.
6. Spread some mayo on the buns, and assemble burgers, I highly recommend topping with avocado!!!

I pinned them. I love Turkey Burgers and make them with my group of students sometimes. They like seeing that you can have a burger without beef that still tastes good. Thanks for the recipe.
